HEADQUARTERS DEPARTMENT OF THE VISAYAS
Iloilo, Panay, March 16, 1901

Special Orders, No. 70.



I. Upon the recommendation of the chief signal officer of the Department, 1st Class Private Lovic P. Hamilton, Company H, Signal Corps, U. S. Army, now at Iloilo, will proceed by first available transportation to Cebu, Cebu, P. I,, reporting upon arrival to the commanding officer for duty.

The quartermaster's department will furnish the necessary transportation and the subsistence department will arrange for his proper subsistence during the journey.

The travel directed is necessary for the public service.



II. No information having been received as to the probable arrival of a transport, the quartermaster's department will furnish transportation to Manila, P. I. by first available transportation, to Timothy Shea and William A. Raymond, discharged soldiers of this command, where upon arrival they will report to the adjutant general, Division of the Philippines.

The subsistence department will arrange for their proper subsistence during the journey.

The transportation and subsistence furnished will be noted on the final statements by the proper officers.

The travel directed is necessary for the public service.



III. A military commission is hereby appointed to meet at Iloilo, P. I., at 10 o'clock a. m., Monday, March 18, 1901, or as soon thereafter as practicable, for the trial of such persons as may properly be brought before it.

Captain Edwin F. Glenn, 25th U. S. Infantry, judge advocate.

The commission is authorized to sit without regard to hours and at such places as may be convenient for the dispatch of business.
